Central IRB - The purpose of the VA Central IRB is two-fold: 1.) to enhance the quality of human research protection in multi-site human research projects by performing appropriate ethical and scientific review while ensuring local issues are addressed 2.) enhancing the efficiency of these reviews across participating sites. |

IT and Data Governance - Given the magnitude and complexity of research conducted within ORD, strong IT and data infrastructure is a prerequisite to success. In order for the VA to retain its position at the forefront of scientific discovery, it must develop a comprehensive strategy and governance model to align resources, organize systems, and standardize processes at the intersection of IT, data, and research. |
|
