Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a disabling psychiatric condition that is highly prevalent in combat veterans. Only a fraction of trauma-exposed individuals develop PTSD, suggesting that pre-existing neurobiological factors contribute to susceptibility/ risk.
